Upcoming Funny Girl star Karimloo's Road to Nowhere will feature a "broadgrass" take on "Music of the Night."
Musical theatre album label Westway Music has set a 2022 roster of releases that will include new solo albums from upcoming Funny Girl star Ramin Karimloo, Wicked alum Kerry Ellis, West End star John Barrowman, and more.
The slate kicks off with Rachel John's From My Lips to God's Ear, releasing April 8. An Olivier nominee for her Angelica Schuyler in the original West End company of Hamilton, John will bring her love for gospel music to this release.
Joe Stilgoe's Theatre will be released April 29. The new album, which Stilgoe says features songs that have been "chosen, or written, with the aim of transporting the listener straight into an auditorium, ready to be absolutely steamrollered by the mixture of emotions that I experience when I go to the theatre," has been recorded with Metropole Orkest and special guests.

Anastasia and Phantom of the Opera star Karimloo's Road to Nowhere follows May 20 featuring tracks sung in Karimloo's "broadgrass" style. The EP will include a new take on The Phantom of the Opera's "Music of the Night." Karimloo will release another EP, also with Westway, August 12; details on the follow-up have not yet been released.
Wicked star Ellis will release her third solo album in October, her first to include original songs. Ellis is working with Grammy nominee and producer Mike Stevens on the album, which is described as "country rock."
