Esports Giant Galaxy Racer Launches Dubai-Based GXR Record Label

GXR Records will be led by Artist Manager Elia Mssawir and will focus on developing a roster of upcoming and established artists in the West Asia and North Africa (WANA) region. The newly-launched music label has already signed on several WANA-based artists such as Freek, Noel Kharman, Dyler, Hanody Awesome and Noor Stars.

With over a decade of experience in artist and talent management, Mssawir will focus on taking care of the artists as well as creating memorable launches and events for Galaxy Racer’s audience.

Paul Roy, Founder and CEO of Galaxy Racer, commented on the launch: “As we expand Galaxy Racer’s offerings as a media powerhouse, we are so excited to grow our involvement in the music industry and partner with EMPIRE, one of the best in the business at supporting and developing talent.

“With Elia at the helm, we’re confident that GXR Records will enhance our creative branches of the company and develop the region’s talent by finding and elevating creatives and giving them the platform and support network needed to thrive.”

According to the release the company also plans to expand its offices and launch its own music festival in the region.

The launch of GXR Records comes after MSM Corporation International Limited (MSMCI) finalised a deal to merge with Riva Technology and Entertainment (RTE), the sister company of esports organisation Galaxy Racer, earlier this year. Both parties have since been focusing on creating a new digital media, entertainment, esports and gaming business.

This is not the first time that an esports organisation has expanded into the music industry as G2 Esports released its debut single ‘Our Way’. This move made G2 the first esports organisation to launch its own record label.
