Banijay CEO Marco Bassetti will deliver a keynote address at MIPCOM, which runs from October 17 to 20 in Cannes.
Bassetti will take to the stage on the market’s second day as part of the program’s Media Mastermind keynote series featuring top global executives and creatives from the TV industry. The session will cover Bassetti’s insights on both the global producer/distributor’s strategies as well as wider industry trends.
As CEO of one of the world’s biggest independent production and distribution groups, Bassetti oversees an operation spanning 22 territories, more than 120 production entities and a catalog that includes Survivor, Big Brother and MasterChef.
Exhibitors from more than 45 countries have been confirmed for the 38th international coproduction and entertainment content market. In total, over 10,000 delegates are expected to attend this year’s market.
“After three years away, we are proud to be back in Cannes with over 200 of our global talent in tow,” said Bassetti in a statement. “MIPCOM always stands as a momentous occasion for our business, and I look forward to taking the time to share more on our current strategy and the trends we are recognizing across the globe. So much has changed for us since we were last here, so it will be great to fully reconnect with the market and introduce our scaled-up group officially.”
